Research on migraine triggers has identified a potential therapeutic target for migraine with aura.
“A key feature of migraine is that various triggers can initiate an attack,” said Dr Messoud Ashina of the University of Copenhagen in Copenhagen, Denmark. “Many migraine patients report trigger factors for their migraines, but the mechanisms by which external migraine triggers exert their effect have not been clarified.”
