“With continually evolving strains of SARS-CoV-2, the US continues to cope with COVID-19,” said Dr Nassim Zecavati of the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, USA, in a presentation at AES 2022.
“While infectivity rates have gradually declined with widespread vaccination, the burden on our health system remains significant.”
