Telehealth established as important part of epilepsy care

Telehealth is now established as an important aspect of epilepsy care, although many challenges remain, experts suggest.

“With continually evolving strains of SARS-CoV-2, the US continues to cope with COVID-19,” said Dr Nassim Zecavati of the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, USA, in a presentation at AES 2022.

“While infectivity rates have gradually declined with widespread vaccination, the burden on our health system remains significant.”
